Pamper Yourself! 4 Self-Care Moments for Moms

You're a nurturer, giver & role model. You are a master of organization & schedules. You're a mom!
As a mom, it's difficult to find the balance between responsibility and self-care.
These four tips will help you create simple, easy go-to moments to incorporate into your busy life. 

1. Meditation. That doesn't mean you have to find a calm space & sit on your meditation cushion in complete silence - if you have that option, amazing! Look instead for those moments you know you do have alone. Perhaps in the shower. Take this moment to connect to your breath and ground yourself. 

2. Pause. The easiest way to nurture yourself and your senses is to get outside - even for just a few moments! Fresh air will rejuvenate you and leave you feeling more alert.  

3. Stretch. When you have a moment between nap time or school drop offs - stretch it out. Try one of these yoga poses:
  • Lunge Pose (Anjaneyasana) - Benefits: Hip flexor and quad stretch, joint mobility and health.
  • Squat Pose (Malasana) - Benefits: Hip joint health and flexibility.
  • Reclined Two Knee Twists - Benefits: Spinal health, abdominal toning.

4.  Affirmations. Perfect for the morning - create space and invite in the positive vibes for the day! Settle into your body and place one hand on your heart and one hand on your low belly. Breathe in the words I am loved. I am supported. I am important.
