Why spruce up your water?
The human body is more than 60 percent water. Blood is 92 percent water, the brain and muscles are 75 percent water and bones are about 22 percent water. A human can survive for a month or more without eating food, but only a week or so without drinking water. This will hopefully encourage you to drink more water each day allowing you to healthily flush your system.
Using different fruits and vegetables in your water will not only incite excitement to your taste buds but bring a spectacular boost to your digestion, immunity, clear free radicals everyday without adding extra calories. I've listed some of my favorite drinks infused with water for an added smile to your day along with a breakdown of the benefits of each ingredient. Each recipe is designed to fit in a portable water bottle or large mason jar. If you would like to make a 1/2 gallon pitcher simply double the ingredients. They can all be prepared to chill for an hour or even overnight and can be reused for up to three days under proper refrigeration. Enjoy!
