Laughter Yoga with Mala Collective

There’s a stereotype out there that yoga is always stiff and serious. There’s definitely a time and place to be serious, however not all yoga is the same. Did you know that there’s a type of yoga called Laughter Yoga?

An Indian physician Madan Kataria, who is also the author of the book “Laugh For No Reason”, created laughter yoga. Laughter yoga is based on the belief that voluntary laughter gives the same physiological and psychological benefits as spontaneous laughter and can be therapeutic to the mind, body and soul.

Even though laughter yoga starts as forced laughter, you’ll find that it’s not long before it turns into real and contagious laughter. Think of those times when a friend starts to laugh, it’s hard not to laugh with them. To learn more check out this great video from Dr. Madan Kataria himself

So let’s give it a try now with 3 BIG belly laughs. Fake it till you make it.  Here’s to all the joy you create in your life!

YOGO TV provides an online hub for yogis to enjoy their favourite practice from the comfort of their own home. Visit the site here:
