There’s a stereotype out there that yoga is always stiff and serious. There’s definitely a time and place to be serious, however not all yoga is the same. Did you know that there’s a type of yoga called Laughter Yoga?
An Indian physician Madan Kataria, who is also the author of the book “Laugh For No Reason”, created laughter yoga. Laughter yoga is based on the belief that voluntary laughter gives the same physiological and psychological benefits as spontaneous laughter and can be therapeutic to the mind, body and soul.
Even though laughter yoga starts as forced laughter, you’ll find that it’s not long before it turns into real and contagious laughter.
