March 20th is the astrological new year! We know it as the Spring Equinox. This time symbolizes new beginnings as we embark on a solar cycle of the Sun journeying through the 12 zodiac signs. (We begin with the sun entering Aries) Harness this potent transitional energy for a refresh.

Here are some key themes to keep in mind during this time: 

  • Setting goals and intentions
  • Initiating new projects
  • Re-dedication to a spiritual practice 
  • Decluttering and cleansing rituals

 This is a perfect time for setting intentions during meditation. Invite fresh energy into your life and open yourself up to new beginnings. 

We welcome you to join us in our Spring Equinox practice

  1. Make yourself comfortable in your preferred meditation posture
  2. Close your eyes and shift your attention within
  3. Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth
  4. Do a body scan to see if you are holding any tension in particular areas of your body
  5. Focus your attention over these areas and bring relaxation to these muscles with a full breath in and out
  6. Take another deep, cleansing breath allowing your breath to fill and expand the belly
  7. And exhale as you begin to feel yourself more relaxed and at ease
  8. Bring your attention now to your third eye, located between and slightly above your eyebrows
  9. Focus your awareness here and just be present with what arises
  10. You may notice tingling, see colors, or sense this energy center awakening
  11. Now visualize a bright Full Moon forming in your mind’s eye
  12. See it growing brighter and brighter and more expansive
  13. Allow yourself to be washed over with this Lunar energy
  14. Let the image of the Moon become more and more vivid as you tune into your intuition
  15. Ask yourself “Where should my intentions be focused at this time?”
  16. Wait a moment and let your intuition guide and speak to you
  17. When you feel ready, bring your awareness back to your breath
  18. Follow your breathing in and out
  19. Stay with the breath for several minutes as you let what arose around your intentions settle into your consciousness
  20. Open your eyes and take any notes that you may want to refer back to later
